The cat goes around you

Background
This game is played for decades before. Now is played mostly by smaller children in school.

Playing Area
It needs big yard, that has enough room for around 10 children.

Equipment
On the video children play using handkerchief, but any other object can be used.

Play game and basic rules
The children gather in a circle. One child is the cat, and the others are mice. The cat goes around the circle holding the handkerchief and the other's sing the song:

"The cat is going
by you
Be careful
she will scratch you."

The cat drops the handkerchief behind one of the children in the circle. That child starts to chase the cat in a circle. If it doesn't catch it after one circle he is the cat.

Background
This is one of the most popular games among children. Even our grandfathers played this game. It probably stayed until these days because of the equipment that is needed - small piece fo flat rock.

Playing area
This game is played on a square ground.

Play game and basic rules

You should draw scheme like this:


The player stands and throws the rock on the number 0. then on one leg he hops starting from field 0 to field 6 and returns back to 0. Then he throws the rock to field 1 ..... to field 6. If he misses the field he is out and the other player plays. The winner is the player that finishes first.

Marbles

This is a game that is played in lot of countries. As I know, my father played this game when he was a child. Today's children also play the same game. It managed to preserve itself through the years. The game is played using marbles.

It can be played outside, on a soil ground.

This is a competitive game. Player through marbles in a specific way with their fingers, and the main goal is to hit the marble of another kid, so it will be out of the game. And you take his marble. The winner is the child that collects all the marbles. It can be played with as many kids as they want to.

This game is the most popular game among boys.

Clap your hands

Two girls clap their hands while singing song. This is played mostly by smaller girls when they are learning to sing.

Страшо Пинџур Primary School started education and teaching in 1937/38.

Physical Structure

Our school is in the center of town Negotino, it is the central school, and it has 4 rural schools (situated in villages: Vojshanci, Pepeliste, Crveni Bregovi and Krivolak) as part of it. Consists of one building for the central school, and one building for every rural school. The central building is consisted of two parts: older – two floors, and new one with three floors. We have room for the teachers, for the psychologist and pedagoue, one for the principal, and one form the administration staff, library, canteen, technician lab, ICT lab, chemistry lab, art room. We have internet connection (ADSL and wireless), two projectors, and soon (I hope if our project is accepted by the foundation – multimedia club). We have around 900 pupils, in the central and the rural schools.

Administration and Staff:

We have 27 class teachers, and 36 branch teachers. Principal (Vesna Jovanova) and director assistant (Saso Gorgiev), psycologist and pedagogue.

Education & Learning

Students from1 to 5 start from 13 – 17 our.
Students from 6 to 9 grade start from7.30 – 12.30
Part of our studets come by transportation (from the villages I mentioned)
Canteen and the toilets are designed according to the students needs..
We are teaching with the methodology “Creative learning” - from 1993.

Social Activities

We also have many activities- we have extracurricular activities for tallented students so they can improve their skills for every subject. Also have activities for pupils who don’t show the wanted results.
We have football, handball. Every year we celebrate: School Day (martch 5), Joke Day (1 april), we also have Tree day when we plant trees (it is on national level), we celebrate Women’s day (8 march), also celebrate spring (Spring handshakes_ when pupils from 5 grade compete in knowledge, skills and art.
